THE MOST HAUNTED FOREST JAPAN TRAGIC SUICIDE FOREST HAUNTED BY THE MANY TORTURED SOULS WHO DIED THERE

There is a forest in Japan, so wild and terrifying, that it has been featured in news articles and documentaries all over the world. The “suicide forest” sits at the base of Mount Fuji and has been home to thousands of suicides. Every year, government officials remove hundreds of bodies from the densely packed forest and every year it seems to happen again. They say the woods are full of all the souls who died there in emotional agony.
In Japan, the space is know as Aokigahara and is known to be a black sea of trees. It’s located on the northwestern side of Mount Fuji and is full of yurei, the Japanese name for the restless spirits of the dead.

Imagine all those ghosts from Japanese horror. The Grudge. The Ring. One Missed Call. Japanese folklore tells tales of people abandoning their family who are cursed to walk the earth forevermore.
The forest is covered in signs, placed by the Japanese police. “Your life is a precious gift from your parents,” and “Please consult the police before you decide to die!” Even so, the Japanese suicide rate is one of the highest in the world and people just keep coming

Visitors describe the forest as devoid of sound and terribly eerie. The terrain is strange with trees that twist and turn and roots that go over the forest floor creating hazards everywhere. There are caves that are dark and empty because of the location at the base of the mountain and the denseness of the foliage creates a nearly sound proof environment.
Cell phones are said to stop working and all contact with the outside world will cease in this forest that has also claimed the lives of those who got lost as well. Not everyone goes there to die. Visitors say they feel the souls of the ghosts, hear their cries, and that the woods are haunted by mournful spirits of the suicidal. Folklore suggests that these evil spirits are vengeful, dedicated to tormenting visitors and luring those that are sad and lost off the path. In other words, they may just lure people toward an untimely death. Visitor beware.
